Aligned Orthopedic Partners, a private orthopedic team of board-certified surgeons, is seeking an experienced AR Follow-up and Denial Specialist to join their revenue cycle team with a hybrid onsite position in Virginia Beach, VA.

This role focuses on analyzing and resolving insurance claim denials, correcting errors, and securing accurate reimbursement from payers. Responsibilities include reviewing denied and unpaid claims for accuracy, submitting corrected claims, investigating claims with no response, managing denials and appeals through coding review and payer interaction, identifying denial trends and recommending improvements, educating team members, collaborating across departments, and performing account reconciliation.

The successful candidate has at least 3 years of experience in medical billing (preferably orthopedic or surgical), strong knowledge of healthcare billing, claims processing, payer follow-up, and appeals. Proficiency with payer websites and Microsoft Office tools is required. Coding knowledge sufficient to process denied claims is necessary. CPC certification is preferred but not required. A High School Diploma or GED is required.
