Advanced Dermatology Care is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in the Business Office of White Bear Lake. This role involves entering charges, entering EOBs, preparing and submitting claims, reviewing and coding clinical notes for Image Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy, resolving claim issues, posting payments, banking deposits, preparing and mailing statements, helping patients understand their statements, working with insurance companies, and maintaining patient records while following HIPAA compliance.
Shifts vary between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm with intermittent in-office work required (hybrid remote).
Key skills include strong commitment to customer service and patient care, knowledge of medical terminology, experience with medical billing codes and ICD-10 codes, knowledge of Radiation Oncology CPT and ICD-10 coding, dermatology billing and coding experience is a plus, analytical accuracy, problem solving, multi-tasking, excellent computer and communication skills, positive attitude, and bookkeeping skills are beneficial.
Additional responsibilities include opening/closing the business office, providing professional service on phone and in person, verifying charges, willingness to cross-train, and performing clerical duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year medical insurance coding experience
- Completion of medical coding program
- Preferred: experience with credentialing, EMA EHR, dermatology and radiation coding and billing
- 1+ years of medical insurance coding experience
- Completion of medical coding program
- Preferred skills: credentialing involvement, EMA EHR experience, dermatology coding and billing, radiation coding and billing
