Billing Manager

Freenet Health Corp. is a healthcare management services company specializing in telehealth and mobile practice providers, including medical billing services. Woundlocal, a mobile wound care practice, is hiring a clinical back certified medical billing manager with extensive experience in Medicare billing and commercial and federal insurance benefits verification.

The role includes verifying patient benefits, reviewing provider documentation, providing real-time feedback to the medical team, ensuring timely submission to payers, reviewing claim denials, submitting appeals, and billing secondary insurance. Claims are specific to advanced wound care services and allograft skin substitutes.

Responsibilities include directing work queues, fostering a positive team culture, coordinating training sessions, responding to provider and management queries, identifying internal process problems, managing complex coding scenarios, analyzing aging accounts receivable, liaising with third-party billing companies, and building an internal team. Daily duties involve reviewing and analyzing medical documentation for accurate coding and billing, applying codes per ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines, collaborating with healthcare providers, resolving coding discrepancies, handling appeals for denied claims, assisting audits, distributing billing-related updates, and classifying wound care encounters across various healthcare settings.

The position is full-time, onsite in Boerne or Austin TX offices, no remote work. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience.
