Join a premium refractive surgery and aesthetics ophthalmology practice as a Medical Coder and Biller. This role involves accurately translating medical documentation into standardized codes and ensuring timely, precise billing processes. Work with diverse medical records and cutting-edge EMR/EHR systems to support the financial health of healthcare operations. Responsibilities include:

Reviewing and analyzing medical records, including physician notes, lab reports, and diagnostic results to assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Ensuring coding aligns with guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements for accurate reimbursement.
Preparing and submitting clean insurance claims using EMR/EHR systems.
Following up on unpaid or rejected claims to optimize revenue recovery.
Maintaining documentation of coding decisions, billing activities, and correspondence.
Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies.
Staying updated on ICD coding standards, CPT updates, and billing regulations.

Experience with ophthalmology and optometry coding/billing is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and billing processes required. Ability to multitask across coding, billing, and collections in a fast-paced environment is valued.

Hourly pay range: $22.00 - $25.00.
