We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder/Biller to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses, submitting claims, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance providers. Insurance follow up on denied/unpaid claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient records and assure documentation supports appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Submit and track insurance claims
- Resolve claim denials and discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
- Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical coding and billing
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and billing software
