Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

Hospital Care Group, P.C., based in Fort Wayne, IN, is hiring a full-time Medical Biller. This role offers a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with weekends and holidays off, paid vacation, competitive pay, and incentive compensation.

As part of the in-house billing team, responsibilities include processing claims via Athena billing system, scrubbing and transmitting claims, resolving rejections, posting payments, collaborating with healthcare providers, interacting with insurance companies, handling patient billing calls, and ensuring timely and accurate claims processing.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in medical office or hospital billing, proficiency with billing software and hospital EMRs, knowledge of insurance guidelines, familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, and charge capture software. Strong communication, teamwork, customer service skills, and adherence to HIPAA confidentiality are required.
