We are currently seeking a dedicated Certified Billing and Coding Specialist to join our growing team. The primary responsibilities include medical coding and prior authorization management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of medical coding, insurance requirements, and billing processes.

Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis coding and CPT coding is required. CPC certification preferred but not required. On-site training required; position can be remote or hybrid after training.

In this role, you will help ensure accurate coding, timely prior authorizations, and efficient claims processing, supporting compliance and optimizing reimbursement.

Key responsibilities:

Complete prior authorizations for services and procedures accurately and efficiently
Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements
Review and assign appropriate medical codes to ensure accurate claim submission
Scrub claims for coding accuracy and compliance prior to submission
Collaborate with billing team to support revenue cycle management
Follow up on unpaid claims, assist with research, corrections, and appeals
Manage past due accounts toward timely resolution
Monitor and maintain accounts receivable performance goals
Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Stay current on industry regulations and payer guidelines
