As a Clinical Billing Manager on the Path & Lab team, you will manage and optimize the professional fee revenue cycle, ensuring accurate and timely charge capture, coding, billing, and collections.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor performance metrics: charge activity, submission timeliness, coding patterns, receivables, denials, and collections.
- Establish and oversee processes for capture and reconciliation of physician service charges.
- Serve as liaison with physicians, billing companies, and payors.
- Provide training on charge capture and billing processes.
- Maintain billing compliance and stay current on coding conventions and payer guidelines.
- Generate monthly operational reports and communicate billing policies.
Requirements:
- Superior knowledge of insurance reimbursement.
- Certifications required: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by AAPC; Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by AHIMA; must complete certification within 12 months if not already certified.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years directly related experience.
