As a Billing and Collection Specialist, you will handle patient accounts after medical services are rendered, act as a liaison between the company, patients, and health plans, verify patient information, obtain and release clinical documentation, manage appeals and denials, respond to health plan inquiries, process and follow up on aging accounts, generate collection reports, and research and resolve delinquent accounts.
This role requires effective verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in various computer programs including EMR/EHR systems, the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, and 2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within Home Care Services is preferred. Bilingual Spanish skills and Medical Biller/Coder certification are highly desired.
