Medical Biller / Authorization Representative

Join our dynamic team at an urgent care facility in Orange County as we expand our services! We're currently seeking a skilled Medical Biller and Coder to ensure accurate billing and coding procedures. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in medical billing, proficiency in ICD-10 and DRG coding systems, and strong attention to detail.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing, assigning appropriate codes using ICD-10 and DRG coding systems, verifying patient information and insurance coverage for billing, preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies, following up on unpaid claims and resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations, collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding, posting payments, processing claim appeals, managing accounts receivable and follow up, patient collection calls, and various other duties as assigned including obtaining approvals from insurance companies.

The position is in-person at Huntington Beach, CA and is not remote.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
• Proficient in medical coding using ICD-10 and DRG coding systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Certification in medical billing or coding is preferred but not required.
