This role, the Anesthesia Universal Billing Representative, supports various departments within the Billing Center requiring diverse physician billing skills such as Patient Registration and Charge Entry, Patient Accounts, Denials and Appeals, Patient Services, and A/R Management.
Key responsibilities include entering/updating patient demographics and insurance data in IDX/ETM systems, managing batch entries, posting payments and adjustments, researching cancelled checks, communicating with insurance companies, processing mail, working accounts receivable, handling insurance rejections, and supporting multiple departments as needed except Medical Coding.
Qualifications:
- Accurate 10-key typing skills
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently or in teams
- Effective telephone communication
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement and Accounts Receivable
- Knowledge of IDX/ETM system preferred
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Additional training in medical billing and cash applications
- Previous medical billing experience, especially with Registration, Charge Entry, and Patient Accounts
This role may require mandatory overtime and local travel for training seminars. It is a full-time, hybrid position based in Louisville, Tennessee with benefits beginning after 30 days.
