We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Medical Biller / Reimbursement Coordinator to support our oncology and hematology practice financially. This role manages key revenue cycle functions including insurance claims submission and follow-up, patient insurance verification, denial review and resolution, accounts receivable management, payment posting, prior authorization coordination, and compliance with coding and billing regulations (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
Our practice is located in Edison, NJ, specializing in compassionate oncology and hematology care, focused on collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include managing commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid claims, resolving denials, coordinating prior authorizations for chemotherapy and specialty meds, maintaining accurate patient billing records, and working closely with patients, providers, and insurers.
Qualifications require a minimum of 2+ years medical billing experience (oncology/hematology preferred), strong knowledge of insurance guidelines and prior authorizations, familiarity with EHR/PM systems such as Athena, Centricity, ONCOEmr, and preferably certifications like CPB, CCS, or CPC. Oncology-specific billing knowledge and ability to handle high-dollar claims are highly desired.
The position is full-time, based in an office environment with physical demands typical to office work including prolonged computer use and occasional lifting.

- Minimum 2+ years of medical billing experience, oncology/hematology preferred
- Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, reimbursement processes, and prior authorizations
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred but not required
