We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10. This role is crucial in providing exceptional service to our clients while ensuring accurate handling of medical records, billing, and collections.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding medical records, billing, and coding with professionalism and clarity.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to assist clients effectively.
- Process and manage medical billing and collections in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions within our systems.
- Collaborate with the medical office team to resolve issues related to patient accounts.
- Provide support in navigating our coding systems, including ICD-10 ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
- Assist in training new staff on customer service protocols and systems as needed.
- Various other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical records management, medical billing, and coding practices is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to patient care and billing processes.
- Proficiency in using various computer systems for data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
