- Prepare and submit claims using EMR/EHR systems ensuring payer compliance
- Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims via medical collection efforts
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates, insurance policies, and billing regulations
- Assist in managing medical records and documentation for audits and compliance
Experience:
- Preferred experience with Tebra/Kareo billing system
- Prior medical billing or coding experience in healthcare highly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation
- Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and medical coding software
- Knowledge of ICD-9/10, CPT, DRG coding, and medical collections
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple claims accurately
- Experience working with insurance companies or third-party billing is a plus
