We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Biller to join our team at Family & Industrial Medical Center (FIMC), the area's leading provider of primary care, walk-in urgent care, and industrial medicine. The Medical Biller will support billing operations for a busy family practice and urgent care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Submit accurate and timely claims to insurance carriers (commercial, Medicare, and others)
Review and verify patient billing information for completeness and accuracy
Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts
Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and rejections to ensure timely reimbursement
Resolve billing discrepancies and appeals as needed
Communicate professionally with patients regarding billing questions and account balances
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation and coding

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of medical billing experience (family practice and/or urgent care preferred)
Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
Experience working with multiple insurance payers and billing guidelines
Proficiency in medical billing software and EMR systems
Familiarity with Athenahealth’s AthenaOne system preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:
