Cardiology Medical Billing Specialist

Seeking a full-time, experienced medical billing specialist to join our Montana team. This remote position may occasionally require travel to Kalispell, MT.

Responsibilities include managing the revenue cycle process for clinics, performing daily charge entry, charge scrubbing, insurance and patient accounts receivable, payment posting, creating accurate claims, following up on claims, appending modifiers, reassigning diagnosis pointers, writing appeal letters, utilizing insurance portals, and assisting patients with billing questions.

Candidate must be able to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers, be flexible with tasks, and strive to meet MGMA AR Benchmark Standards.

Education and Experience:

• Certifications or degrees in medical billing and/or coding preferred.
• One to three years of medical billing and coding experience.
• eClinicalWorks experience preferred.

Skills:

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software.
• Ability to multitask.
• Above-average customer service and phone conversation skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the revenue cycle process.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
