We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller with specialized expertise in Home Health Revenue Cycle Management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the OASIS documentation lifecycle and be a power user of the Axxess platform. Responsible for ensuring accurate coding, documentation, and billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance providers to minimize denials and optimize the accounts receivable cycle.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and processing OASIS Start of Care (SOC), Recertification, and Discharge documentation to ensure clinical accuracy and compliance; preparing, reviewing, and submitting electronic claims via the Axxess platform; managing Plan of Care corrections and ensuring physician orders are properly signed before billing; managing denials and maintaining an aggressive accounts receivable cycle; maintaining knowledge of Medicare, Federal, and Insurance company guidelines; and collaborating with Clinical Managers and nursing staff to align documentation with billed care plans.
Software proficiency required: Axxess (CareCare) and OASIS Documentation.

- Minimum of 3–5 years of Medical Billing experience within a Home Health Agency environment.
- Mastery of Axxess (CareCare/Axxess Care) software mandatory; familiarity with Homecare Homebase, WellSky, or Epic is a plus.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding, HCPCS, and billing requirements for OASIS-based reimbursement.
- Detail-oriented with ability to perform quality assurance on clinical notes and physician orders.
- Excellent communication skills for working with interdisciplinary teams and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues.
