Medical Biller / Medical Collections Specialist

Foot and Ankle Concepts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Collections Specialist with expertise in Accounts Receivable, collections, and denial management to optimize the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Submit accurate, timely medical claims to insurance carriers
• Review and correct claims prior to submission
• Manage and follow up on accounts receivable for prompt payment
• Investigate and resolve insurance denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Work with insurance companies to verify claim status and payments
• Post payments, adjustments, reconcile EOBs/ERAs
• Prepare and submit appeals and corrected claims
• Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with CPT, ICD-10, and payer guidelines
• Communicate with front office and clinical staff to resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain documentation of collection efforts and account activity
• Manage AR aging reports (30/60/90+ days) with prioritization

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of medical billing, AR, and collections experience
• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management
• Proven ability handling insurance denials independently
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, insurance billing guidelines
• Experience with EHR/PM systems, AdvanceMD a plus
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
