NJPNI Billers and Coding/ Collection Staff members are expected to maintain all licenses and credentials required by state and federal law. Participation in educational opportunities as possible is encouraged. Maintaining competency and understanding of all relevant laws and policies is required.
Responsibilities include maintaining competency and performing all necessary functions for medical and surgical billing and collections; updating billing and collection data daily; resolving billing and collection conflicts for patients, families, office staff, and insurance carriers; establishing payment arrangements per company policy; performing insurance claim follow-ups for denials and appeals; monitoring accounts for overdue payments; collaborating with collections agencies; working collectively with office staff; documenting all communications; assisting management with reports; reviewing Explanation of Benefits with patients and families; participating in professional development; maintaining knowledge of policies and regulations including patient confidentiality and payer regulations; identifying and implementing methods to automate revenue cycle processes; completing and maintaining credentialing of clinical staff with insurance carriers and hospitals; and performing other duties as assigned.
Work schedule: 40 hours/week, 8 hour shift, no nights or weekends.
Compensation is $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience.

Preferred 1 year experience in medical billing and coding. Must maintain all state and federal licenses and credentials. Ability to relocate to Morristown, NJ prior to starting work (preferred).
