We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our healthcare billing team. The ideal candidate will manage financial aspects of patient accounts, focusing on accurate and timely collection of outstanding payments from insurance companies and patients.
Responsibilities include monitoring AR aging reports, submitting claims electronically and via paper, reviewing and appealing denied or underpaid claims, communicating with insurers and patients, posting payments and adjustments, analyzing account activity, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or medical billing certification preferred), 2+ years of medical billing or AR experience in healthcare, knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, familiarity with major insurance payers, proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
This position is full-time and not remote. Must pass a background check.
