Orthopedic Billing Specialist

We are looking for a hard working and self motivated individual to join our billing department at Texas Institute of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Experience in medical billing required; exposure to orthopedics is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Payment reconciliation
• Posting clinic and physical therapy charges
• Timely follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance carriers
• Reviewing and working incoming insurance correspondence including refund requests
• Sending appeals when appropriate or providing medical documentation for medical necessity
• Facilitating medical record requests for the practice
• Reviewing patient balances and resolving billing issues

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years medical billing experience required
• Preferred 1-2 years orthopedic billing experience
• Preferred experience with EClinicalWorks
