This is a full-time on-site role located in Buffalo, NY for a Medical Biller. The Medical Biller will accurately process claims, handle insurance denials, verify patient eligibility for medical services, and ensure compliance with billing regulations such as ICD-10 coding. Additional responsibilities include resolving medical billing issues and maintaining precise documentation to optimize billing accuracy and timeliness.
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology and healthcare billing practices
- Experience in managing insurance claims and Medicare processes
- Knowledge of denials management and effective resolution
- Proficiency with ICD-10 coding for compliance and accuracy
- 1-2 years experience in Behavioral Health medical billing
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical billing or coding certifications preferred
