Fraser Eye Care Center is a thriving medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality state-of-the-art ophthalmology services. As a Medical Biller, you will submit claims to insurance companies, follow up on unpaid claims, resolve discrepancies, arrange patient payment plans, obtain pre-authorizations, and review bills for accuracy using medical billing software. You will also code conditions and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT codes. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience and certifications.

Requirements & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Proficient with computers and medical billing software
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid
Effective communication skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding, COPC preferred
Ability to code using ICD-10-CM and CPT
