We are a behavioral health company specializing in traditional and innovative psychiatric and psychotherapy treatments. We are rapidly growing and seeking a motivated Medical Billing Specialist to join us.
Responsibilities include verifying insurance benefits, processing payments via various methods, following up on claim denials, contacting patients to resolve billing issues, maintaining accurate digital records, ensuring confidentiality of patient and company records, and other duties as assigned.
Candidates must maintain professionalism in communication with customers, coworkers, and leadership. Reliable transportation and adherence to shift schedule (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) required.
- Experience with AdvancedMD highly preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
- Organized, reliable, professional, able to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing)
- Basic computer skills including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficient mathematical skills
- 2+ years experience in credentialing and billing
