NeoGenomics is seeking a Temporary, Billing Reimbursement Specialist II to join their team remotely with a Monday - Friday day shift. In this role, you will focus on reconciliation of medical claims to collect revenue, working with third party insurance bills such as HMO, PPO, IPA, TPA Indemnity, Medicare, and other government payers. Responsibilities include increasing cash collections, reducing bad debt, managing appeals and denials following payer guidelines, interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), responding to billing inquiries from patients, reviewing aging reports, verifying insurance eligibility, maintaining patient demographics, and investigating denied claims to take appropriate actions.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, insurance, or healthcare; preferably in laboratory insurance billing.
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding systems; knowledge of coverage policies including LCD/NCD and Payer Medical Policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, internet use, and other relevant software.
- Hands-on experience with medical billing and reimbursement processes.
