Established and Growing PT clinic with 2 locations in Staten Island, NY.

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Biller/Collector to manage the entire billing and collections process, ensuring accurate coding, timely submission of claims, and effective follow-up on outstanding balances. This role optimizes revenue cycle management while maintaining compliance with industry standards, supporting efficient patient care and financial health of the practice.

Duties include:

Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using CPT coding, ICD-10, and DRG classifications to insurance companies and third-party payers.
Review medical records to ensure coding accuracy for billing.
Follow up promptly on unpaid or denied claims using effective collection strategies.
Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payment histories, and communications.
Collaborate with medical office staff to verify patient and insurance information.
Utilize EMR/EHR systems to input data, track claims, and update patient records.
Communicate clearly with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues efficiently.

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical billing and collections within healthcare.
Strong knowledge of medical coding including CPT, ICD-10, DRG and medical terminology.
Familiarity with Physical Therapy office procedures and EMR/EHR systems.
Understanding of medical records management and documentation standards.
Ability to interpret insurance policies and handle complex collection cases.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Physical Therapy billing regulations and compliance standards.

This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
