Growing Specialty Clinic seeks Medical Billing Specialist with a minimum of two years billing experience to become an integral part of our Billing/Collections team. This full-time, goal-oriented, revenue-driven, highly accurate and motivated Billing Specialist will consistently file claims and follow up on unpaid claims by utilizing monthly aging reports and filing appeals when appropriate to obtain maximum reimbursement. Duties include data entry of all patient demographic, guarantor and insurance information, posting procedures and insurance/patient payments, balancing to daily deposits, reconciling daily batches, patient collections, patient payment plans, and assisting front desk with patient account issues.

Experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding; familiarity with medical terminology.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain to patients their account balance and/or EOB/ERA and interpret insurance plans.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage relationships with various insurance payers and file claim appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement.

Responsible use of confidential information and compliance with policies and procedures.

Ability to multitask and work courteously with employees, clients, and patients.

Claims submission electronically and by paper as needed.

Verify completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission.

Accurately post all patient/insurance payments by line item.

Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions or exclusions.

Meet deadlines and utilize monthly aging accounts receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims aged over 30 days.

Assist in collections of aging accounts and make necessary arrangements for medical records requests or additional information requests by insurance companies.

Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers.

Regularly meet with Director of Operations to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles.

Attend monthly staff meetings and continuing educational sessions as requested.

Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisory or Management team.
Work Location: In person in Arlington, TN. Relocation required before starting work.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
