Duties & Responsibilities:

Review and address occupational health claims to ensure proper payments are received according to payers' contracts
Review unprocessed claims within payers' timely filing limits for resubmission
Research Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to verify correct payments and adjustments posted to patient accounts
Determine if unpaid balances require appeals to appropriate Worker's Compensation Committee
Research denied or unanswered claims to determine follow-up steps to obtain payment
Correct registrations on Worker's Compensation accounts and refile claims
Address account inquiries and update requests timely
Maintain working relationships with payer representatives to ensure proper claim filing and reimbursement
Communicate trends or issues to appropriate staff
Maintain patient account and financial confidentiality
Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality
Perform other duties as assigned
Post occupational health and worker's compensation payments
Answer client inquiries via phone and email daily

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year medical experience required
