The Medical Billing & Insurance Coordinator supports billing operations across a mental health practice by ensuring visits are converted into accurate billable claims, supporting claim success and patient billing.
Key responsibilities include creating accurate charge slips from provider documentation, performing insurance eligibility verification, identifying potential claim issues before submission, managing patient balances and billing outreach, responding professionally to patient billing inquiries, coordinating with Revenue Operations to resolve issues, and supporting front-end staff to ensure clean billable data.
This role is important as accurate charge entry and insurance verification reduce denials and improve revenue.
Required qualifications: experience in medical billing, insurance or healthcare administration; understanding of claims, copays, deductibles, and patient balances; strong attention to detail and organization; professional communication skills.
Schedule is full-time, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
