Dermatology Biller

As a Biller at Eastside Dermatology, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate medical billing and coding for our dermatology services. This position is essential for maintaining the financial health of our practice and facilitating seamless patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize ICD-10 and other coding systems to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Manage accounts receivable, including follow-up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
• Posting payments.
• Working on late fees and no-show collections.
• Handling rejections and denials.
• Medical records collection.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
• Assist in the collection of payments from patients and insurance companies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a dermatology or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems such as ICD-10 and DRG.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and collections processes.
