The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center is a growing, state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our dedicated team provides compassionate and cutting-edge orthopedic care. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Medical Billing/AR Specialist.
This is not a remote position.
You will be responsible for collecting accurate payments and resolving outstanding client Payor account balances. Other duties include maintaining knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, utilizing the Medicare Direct Data Entry system to resolve claims, correcting accounts, entering EOB correspondence from insurance companies, following up on medical records requests, reviewing refund requests, researching coding for correct reimbursement, ensuring payment compliance with contract terms, and performing follow-up on unpaid insurance accounts from aging reports.
Candidates must have at least a High School Diploma, previous medical accounts receivable experience, and preferably customer service experience in a medical/healthcare setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR software is required.
