Nevada Pediatric Specialists is hiring a Medical Biller to manage claims, follow-up, and patient account resolution in a high-volume pediatric practice. The Medical Biller is responsible for working accounts receivable, resolving denials, and ensuring accurate claim processing in alignment with internal workflows and payer requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work accounts receivable follow-up for denials, rejections, and unpaid claims
- Review and interpret EOBs/ERAs for accurate posting and next steps
- Submit and track appeals and corrected claims
- Resolve coordination of benefits (COB) issues and insurance discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding claims
- Maintain accurate documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Support patient balance resolution and payment plan processes for collection management
- Handle billing phone calls and provide professional patient support
Role requires strong understanding of EOBs, payer responses, and accurate follow-up actions to prevent revenue loss and errors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year medical billing experience
- Experience with Medicaid & MCOs (Managed Care Organizations) required
- Experience with commercial/private insurance
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable follow-up, denials, and appeals
- Insurance eligibility and claim resolution experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Pediatrics experience
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) highly preferred (EMR/EHR experience required if no eCW)
Must work in-person (no remote work). Must demonstrate ability to work accounts receivable independently and consistently, identify and resolve claim issues without delay, follow structured workflows, and meet productivity expectations.
