The Senior Medical Biller is responsible for managing the full claims lifecycle, surgical billing, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines including CMS CPT, ICD-10, NDC, and LCD regulations.
Key responsibilities include liaising with clients to gather missing billing information, collaborating with coding teams, reviewing patient encounters for compliance, identifying documentation gaps, and participating in billing audits. Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines and proficiency with EMR systems (preferably Epic) is required.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of billing experience, deep knowledge of surgical billing, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and familiarity with commercial insurance payers and billing formats (CMS-1500 and UB-04).
