Stress Care of New Jersey is currently seeking a Medical Billing/Collections Supervisor.
Perform duties as assigned in accordance with office procedures which include overseeing all billing and collection activities to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Responsibilities include organizing workflow, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing personnel and supplies to ensure efficient functioning, quality services, and cost effectiveness within the Billing Department. This is a hands-on position requiring expert knowledge of assigned processes, performing staff duties as needed.
Key responsibilities include payment posting, reviewing remittance advice, interpreting EOB and collection reports, resolving claim delays, initiating charge entries and appeals, managing claims from billing through resolution, preparing and submitting medical claims electronically or by paper, resolving credit balances, verifying insurance and eligibility, proofreading data and reports, responding to requests, resolving COB discrepancies, maintaining confidentiality, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years office experience, preferably in the medical field
- Experience with Medicare/Third Party payers
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and Medical Billing Terminology
- Proficient with word processing, billing, filing and records management systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, attention to detail, decision-making, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional attitude and maintenance of HIPAA confidentiality at all times
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.
