Centerprise Inc. is seeking to hire a Medical Billing Clerk to join their team.
This is a potential hybrid-remote position requiring up to 90 days of in-office training. After training, the position may be eligible for a hybrid-remote schedule that includes 2-3 in-office days per week.
Responsibilities include supporting the billing and cash posting teams, answering patient insurance questions, assisting with front-end billing scrub claims, documenting patient accounts from insurances, assisting with cash posting, and supporting all functions within the billing and cash-posting teams.
Candidates should live within 1-2 hours of the main office location in Loveland, OH for any on-site meetings that may arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reliable internet connection with minimum download speed of 5Mbps and upload speed of 1 Mbps.
- Dedicated work area with a door.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED); Associate Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
- 2-3 years relevant experience in billing and/or cash posting; FQHC billing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 Coding, Electronic Billing, and HIPAA.
- EHR experience required; preferred experience with NextGen, eClinicalWorks, and/or Epic.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday; no evenings or weekends.
- Up to 90 days in-office training required.
Salary: $16-$20 per hour based on experience.
