Kirstin Care LLC is seeking a Billing Specialist with extensive experience managing medical billing in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate has strong customer service, administrative, and communication skills. Spanish speaking is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phone calls and directing inquiries within the intake department
- Managing EMR systems such as ICANotes and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); typing 60 wpm and 10-key proficiency required
- Meeting production goals
- Data entry of referral information and collecting missing data within 24 hours
- Accounts Receivable and collections reconciliation
- Multitasking and sustained work periods
- Completing brief registrations of new clients within 72 hours
- Monthly insurance eligibility verification
- Assisting with authorizations and claim submissions via Incedo
- Reconciling denials and posting payments
- Billing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurances
- Scheduling psychiatric and nursing appointments
- Knowledge of Behavioral Health Programs in Maryland including OMHC, PRP, SUD, RRP, PSH, Health Home, and Supportive Employment
- Compliance, budgeting, financial auditing, and reporting
- Leading with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Assisting with interview scheduling for prospective candidates
- Identifying problems and developing analytical solutions
- Greet clients, stakeholders, and referral sources
- Providing administrative support as needed

The position is in-person in Suitland, Maryland with pay ranging from $19 to $22 per hour. Both part-time and full-time employment options are available.
