Medical Biller

United Health Partners PLLC

Greater Chicago Specialty Physicians (GCSP) is expanding due to continued growth across specialty and infusion service lines. We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our Schaumburg, IL office, supporting increasing patient volume and infusion services with a Monday-Friday schedule during normal business hours.

Submit accurate and timely professional and infusion claims; review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments; manage payer follow-up and appeals processes; verify insurance benefits and eligibility; obtain and track prior authorizations for specialty medications and procedures; process referrals ensuring payer compliance; post insurance and patient payments accurately; reconcile accounts and identify revenue cycle trends; communicate with insurance carriers; collaborate with clinical and front office teams to resolve billing discrepancies; assist with A/R management and aging reports; maintain compliance with payer policies and regulatory guidelines.

Preferred qualifications include 2+ years medical billing experience (specialty practice preferred), infusion billing experience (buy-and-bill biologics a plus), denials management and appeals experience, knowledge of prior authorization workflows, familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines, ECW eClinicalWorks experience preferred but not required, understanding CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, modifier usage, and payer-specific billing requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • 2+ years medical billing experience, specialty practice preferred
  • Infusion billing experience strongly preferred (buy-and-bill biologics a plus)
  • Experience with denials management and appeals
  • Knowledge of prior authorization workflows
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines
  • ECW (eClinicalWorks) experience preferred but not required
  • Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
  • Knowledge of modifier usage and payer-specific billing requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
