The role involves understanding insurance plans and helping patients understand their coverage. The position also includes responsibilities for billing and posting payment.
Applicants must have comprehensive knowledge of how to work aging accounts and insurance appeals, ICD-10 knowledge, and thorough knowledge of medical billing and current laws.
Experience using an electronic medical billing system is required.
Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette are essential.
The candidate must be able to comprehend various insurance documentation, analyze and reconcile accounts, and explain information to patients to assist their understanding. Ability to follow detailed procedures in an organized and efficient manner is important.
Strong communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills are expected.
Schedule is Monday to Friday.

- Medical billing certification required
