Vertex Pain Physicians is a busy, dynamic pain management group dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients. The Medical Billing Associate will manage payment posting, accounts receivable, and billing inquiries within the billing and revenue cycle department.

Responsibilities include accurately posting patient and insurance payments, managing accounts receivable with timely follow-ups, addressing billing-related questions from patients, insurers, and providers, ensuring compliant billing practices, assisting with claims submission and insurance verification, collaborating with billing manager and clinical staff to improve revenue cycle performance, and maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications include previous healthcare billing experience (pain management or medical group preferred), strong understanding of payment posting, accounts receivable, and billing processes, familiarity with billing software and EHR systems, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing a plus, and strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in medical billing preferred; 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management.
