The Neurosurgical & Spine Institute of Savannah is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team. This full-time role involves actively managing denied claims by gathering necessary information to correct or appeal claims, researching payer-specific issues to prevent claim denials, monitoring account errors to support training, resolving claims without insurance responses, answering inquiries about patient accounts, assigning balances to patient billing specialists, managing credit balances and refunds, and identifying delinquent accounts for collections. All work is documented in the practice management system.
- High school graduate or GED required
- Additional billing and coding education preferred
- Minimum three years' experience in revenue cycle roles such as charge entry, payment posting, pre-certification, collections, or billing
- Preferred one year experience reviewing and resolving surgical claims
- Clean background and credit history required
