Beyond Gyne Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join their small but growing medical practice. This role involves working closely with the Finance Manager and Revenue Cycle Manager to manage various aspects of the practice's revenue cycle, including patient billing, insurance claims, and payment collections. The Specialist will collaborate with the office team, patients, and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely billing, minimize claim denials, and optimize revenue collection.

Key responsibilities include posting charges, processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance, resolving billing discrepancies, ensuring accurate medical coding using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems, managing denial workflows, refiling claims, following up on outstanding receivables, collaborating with insurance companies and patients for billing inquiries, applying payments, contacting patients for nonpayment, and adhering to HIPAA compliance.

Required skills and qualifications include at least 2 years of medical coding experience, proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding, familiarity with major insurance carriers and verification processes, solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle, organizational skills, multitasking ability, problem-solving, time management, dependability, punctuality, positive attitude, and effective communication with patients.
