We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Home Health Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing processes for home health services, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycles while providing exceptional support to our healthcare providers and patients.

Prepare and submit medical claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring adherence to billing guidelines. Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, verifying documentation supports billed services.

Code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, and DRG classifications to ensure precise reimbursement. Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving discrepancies promptly. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or coding issues that may impact billing accuracy.

Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim submissions, rejections, and adjustments for audits. Stay current with medical coding standards, regulations, and payer policies to ensure compliance.

Proven experience in medical billing in home health or outpatient settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and DRG classifications. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in healthcare billing, medical terminology, and records management. Experience resolving claim denials and handling medical collections efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately. Prior experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and compliance is highly valued.
