Medical Insurance Billing Specialist

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurate billing of patients and insurance companies, ensuring timely payments and maintaining precise records.

Key duties include:

• Reviewing claims for coding accuracy
• Preparing and submitting claims to various insurance companies
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Utilizing medical collection techniques to maintain low accounts receivable levels
• Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information

Required skills and experience:

• Proficiency in medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and medical office procedures
• Experience with Medicare LCDs
• Extensive knowledge of commercial and government insurance requirements and reimbursements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Candidates should have at least two years of medical billing experience in a provider setting.
