Work Location: Onsite ONLY in Teays Valley, West Virginia

Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent. Excellent customer service, telephone, and computer skills. Knowledge of medical coding and medical billing is essential.
Basic Function:
Generate third party and patient billing, compile statistical reports, post payments, and perform other billing department duties.
Duties:
- Review provider data for accuracy and edit before claim generation
- Review insurance information and payer-specific requirements including authorizations, modifiers, and correct claim forms
- Submit claims electronically to payers
- Work directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients regarding claims and reimbursements
- Investigate and resolve claim denials
- Use various payer websites
- Verify patient insurance eligibility
- Perform payment posting and batch maintenance
- Assist patients with account questions
- Audit, confirm, and submit documentation for refunds
- Manage weekly/monthly inbox reports and aging reports
- Perform other assigned duties
