We are looking specifically for an Out-of-Network Negotiator who specializes in the No Surprises Act for surgery.
You will serve as the main contact for all out-of-network revenue, handling high-level negotiations with insurance companies and managing the No Surprises negotiation process. Tasks include winning appeals through detailed clinical reviews.
Daily duties include processing and recording incoming denials to review and appeal, managing accounts receivable aging reports to negotiate appeals for no surprise billing with insurance companies, reviewing patient accounts for discrepancies and resolving issues, and collaborating with the medical billing team to ensure proper coding of services using DRG, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems.
This is a remote, part-time contractor role with a flexible schedule.
Proven experience in medical billing, collections, or a similar role within a medical office setting.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices including DRG, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills for interaction with patients and team members.
Availability to work a day shift, Monday through Friday.
