Opportunity for a Medical Billing Manager at a leading, award-winning Eye Care practice in Salem, Oregon. Manage all facets of the billing department including claims processing, revenue monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring timely billing, reporting, and patient account management.
Manage a team of billing specialists providing leadership and support. Identify and implement strategies to improve billing efficiency and accuracy. Oversee revenue management including timely filing, maximizing billing revenue and collections. Monitor monthly aging reports, conduct follow-ups on unpaid claims, and resolve denied/rejected claims. Analyze A/R aging and payment reports to identify trends and underpayments, investigating and resolving issues.
Minimum of 3–5 years supervisory medical billing experience and 5 years medical billing experience required. Experience in optometry billing is required; ophthalmology billing preferred. Strong understanding of medical coding, claims processing, payment posting, and revenue cycle management. Experience with Medicare, commercial insurance, VSP billing, and EHR/EMR systems (NextGen favored). Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Physical requirements include prolonged sitting and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
