The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for submitting timely, accurate, and clean healthcare claims to insurance carriers while actively monitoring and following up on outstanding claims through ongoing accounts receivable analysis. This role supports the revenue cycle to maximize reimbursements and ensure efficient financial operations.

The position supports various behavioral health billing practices and collaborates with billing, coding, and clinical teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in medical billing, claim follow-up, and A/R analysis, preferably in behavioral health
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years or older
Knowledge of medical billing terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and behavioral health billing
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work extended periods on computer
Successful background and record checks
