We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Support Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the financial health of our practice.

The Billing Support Specialist will play a crucial role in the financial operations related to patient services. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of billing, claims, payments, and collections. Key responsibilities include utilizing payer portals, verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits, obtaining necessary documentation for authorization, maintaining accurate patient account records, communicating with patients regarding their accounts, keeping up to date with insurance policies, reviewing and resolving claim denials by submitting appeals, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (college preferred), experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management—preferably in a pediatric or therapy setting, knowledge of insurance policies, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10), proficiency with electronic medical records and billing systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management, preferably in pediatric or therapy setting
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and billing codes (CPT, ICD-10)
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills and professionalism in challenging situations
