The role involves managing insurance accounts receivable, denials management, payment posting, and responding to billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced medical environment.
The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, familiarity with CPT, ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing guidelines, especially in Ophthalmology/Optometry. Candidates should be detail-oriented, adaptable, and achievement-driven.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 2+ years medical billing experience
- Preferred: 1+ year Ophthalmology/Optometry billing experience
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing guidelines
- Familiarity with ocular/medical terminology
- Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Willingness to occasionally travel for training or company needs
