AT&C is seeking a Billing Specialist with experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) to join the team. This role involves reviewing and processing billing and coding to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; maintaining billing cheat sheets and procedure-specific coding guidelines; correcting errors in billing packets; managing missing items list; reducing billing lag days; providing feedback and reporting to leadership and clients; and contributing to improved financial outcomes for ASCs.
The position is fully remote, requiring a quiet home workspace, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT.
Qualifications include: minimum 1 year ASC billing experience, ability to bill 50 accounts daily, experience with Practice Management Systems (such as AdvantX, Vision, HST, SIS Complete, ModMed, gGastro, or Tebra), proficiency in Microsoft Office, high school diploma or GED, knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management processes, payer contracts, EOBs, and HIPAA regulations.
Preferred education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
The salary is $16-$26 per hour, commensurate with experience, with medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and a flexible remote work environment.
- At least 1 year billing experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs)
- Ability to bill a minimum of 50 accounts per day
- Experience with Practice Management Systems like AdvantX, Vision, HST, SIS Complete, ModMed, gGastro, or Tebra
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes
- Familiarity with payer contracts and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
